The Red Alert incoming rocket siren activated at around 8:30 pm Sunday evening in the southern Israeli communities of Nir Am, Sderot and Yivim, sending hundreds of families racing for cover – many of them out into the cold and rain.

IDF soldiers and other security personnel were deployed to determine if and where a rocket might have landed following the warning siren.
