At least two people, including one civilian, were taken to a hospital after a shootout at a U.S. Air Force base in Little Rock, Arkansas on Monday. One of the two — a civilian — was wounded, TVH11 reported, quoting a sergeant with the base.

The violence began at the main gate to the base, when a gunman approached the base firing a weapon.

Security forces subdued the attacker, according to local TV station KTHV, which reported that all gates to the base were closed to traffic.
