A teen terrorist who murdered Alexander Levlovich in a stoning on the street of a Jerusalem neighborhood on Rosh HaShana last year has been sentenced to nine years in prison.

The decision was handed down after a plea deal was reached three weeks ago with the State Attorney’s Office, against the wishes of the victim’s family.

The murderer agreed to admit to the charges and serve his jail term in exchange for testimony against the other three perpetrators involved in the attack.

All four Arab attackers were indicted on charges of manslaughter, aggravated battery, endangering human life on the road, obstruction of justice by a police officer in the line of duty, arson and weapons manufacturing. Two were also accused of throwing firebombs (Molotov cocktails) and stoning security forces during riots in 2014.

The four attackers hurled the rocks at Levlovich’s vehicle as he drove home with his family from a holiday dinner, attacking the Israelis in “retaliation and in solidarity” following clashes on the Temple Mount, according to the indictment.

According to the statement by the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet), it was Abed Dawiat who hurled the stone that smashed Levlovich’s windshield, destroying his ability to control the vehicle and sending the car hurtling into a utility pole.

Earlier that year, four-year-old Adele Biton succumbed to the massive injuries she suffered months earlier when she and her family came under a stoning attack by Arab terrorists as they drove in a car on a road in Samaria.

Little Adele’s mother and sisters were also injured, but it was the smallest child who fought a lion-sized 18-months-long battle along with her doctors for life.

One of Adele Biton’s murderers was sentenced to 15 years in prison for the crime of murder by stoning.

There have been others.

Asher Palmer, 24, was the son of American immigrants to Israel when he and his baby son Yonatan were murdered in a September 2011 stoning near Kiryat Arba, by Arabs from the Palestinian Authority in Judea. Both of their murderers proudly confessed to their role when they were captured and charged with the attack.

That same month alone, 498 incidents of stoning attacks were recorded by the IDF.

It’s important to know that the leadership of the Palestinian Authority to this day glorifies those who maim and murder Jews and Israelis.

The PA government especially honors those who succeed in terrorist attacks against citizens of the Jewish State, and pays monthly salaries to those who are convicted and jailed in Israel on charges of terrorism. The longer the sentence, the higher the salaries, which are supported — perhaps inadvertently — by the international community via foreign aid to the coffers of the Palestinian Authority and the Palestine Liberation Organization.

Financial aid to the Palestinian Authority and to the Palestine Liberation Organization, via the United Nations, Russia, the European Union or the United States — the much-vaunted “Quartet of Nations” — or anyone else, for that matter, has translated into terrorist attacks against Israel.
