Firebomb, also known as a Molotov cocktail

A 17-year-old Palestinian Authority terrorist was caught on Monday, immediately after he carried out an attack against Israeli motorists traveling along a road near Highway 60 in Gush Etzion.

The attacker, a resident of the town of Bethlehem, was ambushed by IDF soldiers from the Nitzan Field Intelligence Battalion of the Combat Intelligence Collection Corps (Netz Company).

He was tracked via a thermal drone together with a terror cell from the village of El-Khader, north of the Jewish community of Efrat less than ten minutes’ drive from Jerusalem, as they arrived at the site and then hurled firebombs (Molotov cocktails) at the road.

The soldiers identified the terrorists using the drone as they were attacking the passing vehicles, and then ambushed them, giving chase as they fled, capturing the one who threw the firebombs.

The suspect was transferred to the custody of Shin Bet intelligence agents for interrogation.
