The teenagers were cousins. The father one of the terrorists said he was surprised that his son carried out the attack but added he is proud of him.

In the early evening, a 21-year-old Palestinian Authority terrorist from Tulkarm moderately wounded a police officer near Damascus Gate at the Old City of Jerusalem. Police shot and killed the terrorist.

The first attack of the day was carried out by a Palestinian Authority intelligence officer who lived in the Abu Dis area of eastern Jerusalem. He used his rifle to shoot at soldiers at the Hizme checkpoint, lightly wounding a soldier.

Like the other terrorists during the day, he was shot and killed.
