Two soldiers from the undercover Duvdevan unit were approached and detained by Palestinian Authority security forces during an IDF operation in Shechem (Nablus).

The two soldiers were questioned by the PA and then transferred over to the IDF’s Civil Administration.

A senior IDF officer told News 0404 that this was “a serious incident and a dangerous failure… It could have ended up with kidnapped soldiers… Shechem is crawling with Hamas terrorists.”

According to reports, their car was stopped by the Palestinian Authority police as they began to enter into Shechem as something about them appeared suspicious. That’s a serious operational failure for the undercover unit.
