If you’re living in Israel, you’re probably wondering where things are holding with the local Amazon enterprise. Take a breath… it’s time to polish up your credit card.

Amazon Israel is to officially begin its operations in the Jewish State next week, just a few days before Israel’s national elections and barely two weeks before the Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashanah.

According to a statement sent Monday by the mammoth e-commerce giant to its Israeli sellers, local site traffic is expected to leap the second the virtual doors are open. Merchants have been asked to be ready on the week following September 12.

“Prioritize products that are strong sales for the New Year,” Amazon advised, adding, “Make sure your prices are competitive, make sure your offerings are available and you’ve complete inspections (on the product) before they’re sent (for delivery) by air.”
