Appearing Wednesday before the Knesset State Control Committee debating the State Comptroller’s report on the 2014 Gaza War, a.k.a. Operation Protective Edge, Prime Minister Netanyahu said Hamas had been planning to penetrate Israel by air, by sea, and underground.

The PM presented the Gaza Strip question as essentially beyond resolution in its current, suggesting that even if Israel were to invade it – which would be militarily doable – the results of such a Pyrrhic victory would likely be worse for the Jewish State who would, once again, be deposited with responsibility for the lives of more than a million hostile and volatile Arabs.

A screaming match erupted during the debate between committee members and MK Jamal Zahalka (Joint Arab List) Arab List).
