Smoke rising from targeted terrorist positions in Gaza City

Israeli warplanes launched several air strikes on different areas of Gaza City on Tuesday morning, Ma’an reported. The Arab news agency confirmed that the Israeli planes fired more than ten rockets at terrorist positions in the neighborhoods of Zeitoun and Shuja’iyya in Gaza, and reported violent explosions in various areas of the Gaza Strip.

Israel earlier announced that 25 rockets and mortars had been fired from the Gaza Strip at its communities around the Gaza Strip, but so far no terror group has claimed responsibility. The Iron Dome system successfully intercepted the barrage, but at least two rockets were able to evade the system and fall inside the settlements, one near a kindergarten. Israeli artillery fired several shells at the Gaza Strip in retaliation.

According to Ma’an, the sound of the Israeli planes was still being heard over Gaza.
