Flames in the Erez Forest area

Arson attacks by Hamas and other terrorists in Gaza have not stopped, despite contentions by the terrorist organization that a ‘ceasefire’ is in place.

Residents in southern Israel reported numerous incendiary balloons flown across the border Wednesday into Ashkelon, Ofakim, Shikma, and Gefen.

Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman said while monitoring an IDF military drill in the north of the country that he had been informed about the rash of balloons, “but they were only balloons, not firebomb balloons (without Molotov cocktails attached.)

Firefighters and security forces were also summoned to determine whether a blaze that broke out during the day in the Erez Forest was caused by spontaneous combustion or by a balloon attached to a Molotov cocktail, launched by Gaza terrorists and flown over the border into Israel.
