The Cave of the Patriarchs is the burial site of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Sarah, Rivka, Leah, Adam and Eve, in Hebron.

For the second time in as many days, a Palestinian Authority Arab has attempted to kill Israelis in Hebron.

This time, however, it was a teenager making the attempt, and the incident ended with no shots fired.

A 17-year-old Palestinian Authority terrorist-in-training pulled a knife on Israeli Border Guard Police at the Cave of the Patriarchs in Hebron on Tuesday.

The incident took place at the security checkpoint at the entrance to the Tomb, where Muslims also pray, as well as Jews.

The teen went through a routine search, emptying his pockets upon request, and walking through the metal detector – but the alert was activated when he passed through.

When he was instructed to lift his shirt, however, he refused – and then hauled out a large knife he had hidden instead, swinging it at the security personnel.

Police officers pointed their weapons at him and ordered the teen to drop the knife. Eventually, he was arrested and taken into custody with no shots fired.

On Monday, an IDF soldier sustained minor wounds when he was stabbed by a terrorist near the Cave of the Patriarchs.

The soldier responded by firing at his attacker, as did other soldiers at the site. The terrorist was killed. The soldier was evacuated for medical care.
