Amid Red Alert air raid sirens, reports of rocket attacks and news of a cease fire between Israel and Gaza terrorists, Eurovision Song contestants are continuing to prepare for their performance on the big stage in Tel Aviv next week.

Eurovision Song Contest events are in full swing, with receptions, rehearsals and celebrations all rolled into this one final week before the two semifinals and the final performance on Saturday night.

Thus far, there have been no cancellations or changes in the program, or hotel reservations.

Incoming Tour Operators Association general manager Yossi Fatael told the Globes business news site that he has yet to hear of any tourists wanting to leave Israel, “and I don’t think there will be any.”

In accordance with the directives of Home Front Command, all events are taking place as scheduled, Israel’s public broadcasting network, Kan, reported. Preparations by the delegations to the show are likewise being carried out.

Occupancy rates in nearly all the hotels are already near capacity – and we’re only at the start of May.
