The Poles are considering the cancellation of the Visegrád States' conference scheduled to take place in Israel next week, and moving the event to Warsaw.

Poland is the only European Union country that has failed to pass a law that restores the property to Holocaust survivors and to others dispossessed during World War II or Communism.

The Foreign Ministry's announcement relied on an interpretation of an interview with Polish justice minister Zbigniew Ziobro, where he may have said that the law will not be implemented at this time, before a review by Poland's Constitutional Court.

The Polish ambassador was summoned by the Foreign Ministry over the draft legislation • Yair Lapid: “We will not allow any parliament to pass laws the purpose of which is to deny the Holocaust.”

In the years that ensued, until May 8, 1945, Nazi Germany was responsible for the murder of some 6 million Jews, 2.7 million ethnic Poles, and 4 million who were deemed "unworthy of life."
