Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon and the Housing Cabinet approved on Monday the construction of four new communities in the Negev and Galilee, according to a report published on the Globes business news site.

Two of themv– Shibolet and Daniel — are adjacent to existing communities and will include a significant (20 percent) number of homes for people with disabilities.

Ir Ovot is being specifically designed to serve the Bedouin population.

Nitzanit is to become a service center for all the communities located around Nitzana.

All four are exceptions to the Housing Cabinet plan to focus its attentions on existing urban communities, rather than to build new suburban areas.
