A Jewish lynch victim at the emergency room in Nazareth

Israeli Arabs attempted a lynch against a Jewish family from Nazareth Illit that passed through their village, Kfar Yafia (Yafa an-Naseriyye) in the in the Lower Galilee Friday afternoon, Honenu reported.

The incident erupted as soon as the residents of Yafia discovered that a Jewish family was sitting in the car which was stuck in a traffic jam in their village. They immediately started to attack the car with stones and clubs.

Family members said that one of the assailants began to hit the car with an iron pipe, broke the windows, and reached inside to hit the family members. The driver finally managed to maneuver his vehicle among the cars around him and escape from the village.

Some family members were injured, and were evacuated for medical treatment at the Italian hospital in Nazareth.

Israel police are currently taking testimonies from the family at the emergency room.

Honenu attorney Haim Bleicher of the organization’s Crime Victims Division is helping the family.
