An Arab terrorist was shot and wounded Monday night in Hadera after he attempted to stab policemen on patrol.
The police stated that a unit on patrol approached a suspicious individual and requested identification. The suspect drew a knife and attempted to stab one of the officers. In response, one of the officers shot the suspect in the legs and moderately wounded him.
He was evacuated to a hospital after a police sapper confirmed he was not carrying any explosives on his body.
The terrorist is a 21-year-old resident of the Palestinian Authority.
In related news, IDF forces carrying out counter-terrorism operations throughout Judea and Samaria arrested nine terrorist operatives suspected of involvement in terrorist activities and violent disturbances against civilians and security forces. The suspects were taken for questioning.
