Protesters demand harsher sentence for accomplice in Temple Mount attack.

Over 30,400 Jewish worshipers visited the Temple Mount during 2019, setting a new record for the number of Jewish visitors ascending to the holy site in one year.

In 2018, 29,939 Jews visited the Temple Mount, in 2017 25,628 Jews came to the complex, in 2016 14,054 visited, and in 2015 10,906 Jews visited the holy site.

Although the number of Jewish visitors in 2019 was a slight increase over 2018, Temple organizations see the growth in 2019 as a big achievement after a decline in the number of visitors was initially recorded at the beginning of the year, which increased again in the second half of the year.

Temple Mount activists noted that these numbers include only Jews who came to pray or show a Jewish presence at the holy site and not groups of Israeli tourists.
