Ringo Starr (Sir Richard Starkey, MBE) arrived in Israel Thursday afternoon, sending his fans a message of “peace and love” with an invitation to attend one of the two shows he will perform this Saturday and Sunday at Tel Aviv’s Menorah Mivtachim Arena.

This version of the All-Star Band is the 13th incarnation to join Ringo, now 77, on stage as he performs for the first time ever in the Holy Land as part of his “Give More Love” world tour.

The former Beatles drummer is the second and final member of the legendary band to perform here in Israel; Starr and his promoters added a second concert when the first sold out instantly.

Paul McCartney took the stage in 2008 at Tel Aviv’s Yarkon Park to the ecstatic roar of Israelis and visitors who flocked to the site from around the country. Both concerts are expected to be packed to the rafters with traffic and arrival to the venue likely to be a happy madhouse.
