Border Police officers posted at the Tomb of the Patriarchs in Hebron, on Monday arrested two suspects who tried to infiltrate the security system of the sacred site and bypass the inspection posts. A knife was found on the person of one of the suspects.

Border Police officers noticed the two suspects as they were moving near one of the inspection posts in the Tomb of the Patriarchs. The two, whose behavior appeared suspicious to the officers, were ordered to halt and submit to a search. The officers discovered the knife which was wrapped in sheets of paper and concealed on one suspect’s body.

The suspects, who are brothers residing in Yatta, ages 18 and 19, were detained for questioning by security officials.
