There was special protection for the Jews of Israel in force on Sunday night as rockets continued to fly towards the border city of Sderot from Gaza.

Seconds after Israel Defense Force Iron Dome aerial defense fighters fired their interceptor missiles at the rockets launched by Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorists in Gaza, shrapnel fell from the interception and landed in the street close to a home in Sderot, damaging the house.

Miraculously, the residents of the home were not physically injured, according to Sderot spokesperson Yaron Sasson.

“We are in continuous contact with the Home Front Command,” Sasson said. “At this time an assessment is being made and we will be updated about the developments.”

Residents are being advised to stay near their safe spaces.

Two rockets also exploded in an open area in the Shaar HaNegev Regional Council district.
