U.S. President Donald Trump released his 2005 tax return on Tuesday, shortly after a tweet by MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow announcing the network had obtained two pages of the return.

Maddow said on the program that she received the documents from investigative journalist David Cay Johnston, who said the papers appeared unexpectedly in his mailbox.

A statement by the White House said that Trump had a responsibility to “pay no more taxes than legally required.”
