U.S. National Security Adviser John Bolton is slated to arrive in Israel next week.

Bolton told reporters this past Friday that he is traveling to Turkey and Israel as the United States begins to withdraw its forces from Syria.

Bolton said he plans to discuss security issues in the region as
well as next steps in the fight against the Islamic State terrorist organization.

“We will discuss our continued work confronting security challenges facing allies & partners in the region, including the next phase of the fight against ISIS, as the U.S. begins to bring troops home from Syria,” Bolton said in a statement posted on the Twitter social networking site.

Bolton is scheduled to meet with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu next Sunday, according to Haaretz.
