Here are some other suggestions:

Start reviewing homework with children starting from youngest to oldest, so while you are working with the younger child, the older ones can begin on their own.

Pile on the positive encouragement, spacing out negative comments with five positive comments. This means when you are reviewing spelling or kriyah, you comment on every word they get right, not only on the ones they get wrong.

No need to fret about creating a reputation of yourself as a helicopter mom. If you won’t advocate for your child, and make sure his or her homework experience is as positive as possible, who will? Keep up the healthy habits and designated times, and before you know it, the only answer to your nightly question of “Did you finish your homework?” will be an affirmative “Yes, I did.”
