The US Central Command says overnight strikes destroyed a surveillance tower at Iran's Shahid Kalantari Port in Chabahar, calling it part of a maritime surveillance network used by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. According to CENTCOM, the tower was used "for decades" by the IRGC "to track and target commercial vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz." It adds that destroying the facility "directly degrades IRGC's ability to coordinate attacks on innocent civilian crew members" and helps protect freedom of navigation, while the ongoing US naval blockade remains in effect for vessels attempting to reach Iranian ports.

President Isaac Herzog says his "dream" is to see Israel establish peace with Saudi Arabia, expressing hope that he will one day officially meet Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and saying Israelis "want most" to see closer ties between the two countries. Speaking to Saudi-owned Al Arabiya, Herzog also said he hopes Israel will eventually reach peace agreements with Lebanon and Syria, adding that he dreams of driving to Beirut and Damascus. "The region should move to peace, not to an arms race of swords and threats," he says, while calling for direct negotiations backed by the United States. Addressing Iran, Herzog says he was "not surprised" that last month's US-Iran memorandum of understanding unraveled, arguing that "it's impossible to do deals" with Tehran because "they violate all the time." At the same time, he voices full confidence in US President Donald Trump and says he also respects Vice President JD Vance, adding he is pleased Washington's response to Iran's alleged violations has been "firm and clear." On the war in Gaza, Herzog says his "heart aches" for innocent Palestinian civilians killed in the fighting, stressing that "this is not our aim or desire in any way." He adds that Gaza's residents "deserve a good life" and says Israel wants them to have one.

The Middle East saw another major escalation overnight as Iran launched fresh attacks across the Gulf following a sixth consecutive night of US strikes ordered by President Donald Trump. The US Central Command said American fighter jets, drones, and warships struck dozens of Iranian military targets, including coastal surveillance sites, air defense systems, maritime capabilities, and military logistics infrastructure. In response, Kuwait said its air defenses engaged incoming missiles and drones, describing them as "hostile" attacks, while Bahrain activated warning sirens and urged residents to take shelter. Qatar also reported intercepting a missile after several explosions were heard over Doha. Iranian state media claimed the attacks targeted US military facilities in Kuwait and Bahrain in retaliation for American strikes on Iranian territory. Iran also said it expanded its response beyond the Gulf, with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps claiming it struck a US special operations command center at al-Tanf in Syria and destroyed two American radar sites in Oman. The Guards further declared that Iran retains full control of the Strait of Hormuz and warned that no oil or gas would be exported through the strategic waterway while US attacks continue. Reuters could not independently verify those claims. Elsewhere, Jordan said it intercepted three Iranian missiles without reports of casualties or damage, while the US-led coalition shot down eight explosive drones over Erbil in northern Iraq. Separately, an exiled Iranian Kurdish opposition group accused Tehran of carrying out drone and rocket strikes on one of its camps near Sulaimaniyah, saying eight of its members were killed. Iranian state media also reported that overnight US strikes on infrastructure in southern and western Iran killed eight people and wounded 20, including attacks on six bridges in Hormozgan province near the Strait of Hormuz.
