Estimation isn’t just random guessing – it’s using what we know to make the best possible decision when we don’t have all the facts. I remember being a kid and trying to guess how many pieces of bubble gum were in a giant jar to win a prize. It wasn’t a total shot in the dark – I’d look at the size of the jar, the gum, maybe even count a row and multiply. I knew I likely didn’t have the exact number, but did my best to get as close to it as I could.

Life works the same way. We rarely have complete clarity, but we’re still expected to move forward. We gather what we can, weigh our options, and take our best shot. Only Hashem sees the full picture. He alone knows everything with perfect accuracy. Our job is to make thoughtful choices, stay grounded, and trust Him with the rest.
