Either draft Donald Rumsfeld with a $20 million signing bonus from the UJA, or get a nice Jewish boy who grew up on the “wild and crazy” streets of Brooklyn. Radical change in Israeli leadership is necessary today for the Jewish state to survive.

Camp David, Oslo, peace with Egypt/Jordan, recognition of Israel’s right to exist, Bill Clinton/Dennis Ross, cold peace, non-belligerency pacts, and now the road map – these are all Chamberlain-like wasteful efforts of well-intentioned politicians, made with despicable regimes and hateful populations. The problem is that evil always wins in negotiations.

Signing agreements with the Taliban, al Qaeda, Hamas, Syria or the Palestinian Authority will have similar results to the worthless accords Jimmy Carter hammered out with the North Koreans. Carter deserves a Nobel Peace Prize about as much as Arafat, the Godfather of Modern Terrorism. In fact, Carter should be referred to as the Godfather of Modern Pacifism, an equally detestable and dangerous ideology. Both these presidents were equally disastrous failures.

It requires a Donald Rumsfeld to clearly understand what is necessary in order to gain respect and, more importantly, to be feared by the world. His concept of “transforming” the military with technology and “immense” power has made every other nation on earth almost irrelevant. America is now several generations ahead of everyone and accelerating rapidly.

The Brooklyn schoolyards taught a similar philosophy – don’t mess around with any of those big, tough Catholic school guys or those skinny “meshuganah” yeshiva boys who would band together like a pack of red ants. And never be satisfied with being only somewhat stronger than your opponent. Think strategically like a chess player, always keeping several moves ahead. Hold onto your turf and then some. Most importantly, display insurmountable strength, aggressive tendencies and follow a democratically-elected leader who will instill a definite fear of destruction into the bad gangs of Brooklyn or the evil nations in the Middle East.

These examples provide invaluable lessons for Israel to understand and implement. Anyone, from George W. Bush to Colin Powell, who truly believes that negotiations will solve the Israeli-Arab conflict must have trusted the fact that negotiations with Saddam would have been productive. Strangely, the Bush administration never considered this possibility.

And though the Arab/Muslim world was up in arms about the U.S. attacking Iraq, while much of Europe continued its unconscionable pacifist beliefs, America became an efficient killing machine with an incredible war plan. The result: silence and respect from the entire world except for the Democrats who are running for president.

Hear O Israel, and learn an important lesson. America is your model for success, only Israel needs to be more Catholic than the Pope and more American than the United States. America only won wars when it exhibited astounding might against the enemy and not through a modest presentation of force. That was attempted in Vietnam with great failure and embarrassment.

So as not to repeat history, the Iraqi battle plan required a gargantuan effort that totally decimated and disheartened the opponent, putting the fear of G-d into them. Whether through an atomic bomb in World War II or via smart weapons technology capable of finding any government official’s bedroom, there is an understanding that America will stop at nothing in order to win big.

Yet the historical record shows that forces indeed exist that prevent Israel from carrying out a similar strategy; many are the American presidents and diplomats who have stood in the way and stopped a potent Jewish army from accomplishing American-like victories. This was not a wise use of political power. Compounding these efforts were foolish talking points like the Clinton peace team’s rhetoric of “there is no military solution” to the problem. (Tell that to the Allies of World War II!)

Any Israeli government official who presently parrots the immoral term “no military solution” should be impeached and jailed. Listen up Arik. So what is the real solution to the Israeli/Arab/Muslim crisis? As Donald Rumsfeld and those wise Brooklyn streets taught us so clearly, Israel’s original negotiating position has been completely flawed.

Since 1973, Israel’s misguided policy for attaining peace was to give back the territory it won in a war designed to annihilate it. In fact, much of the land has already been returned to Egypt, with little positive to show for it. Therefore, the starting position for negotiations with the Arab world should be the declaration that Jews have valid ownership rights to all of biblical Israel (and Jewish settlement areas mentioned in the Bible).

The new Israeli position would require the repatriation of land from Jordan, Syria, Iraq and Saudi Arabia, along with the right of return and compensation for Jews who were physically forced to leave Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, Yemen, Iran, Morocco and other Arab/Muslim countries from 1948 on.

Only through courageously proposing aggressive, serious demands, can a nation display strength and achieve results. Terrorism and suicide bombings are used by the enemies of America and Israel because they cannot win a fair fight, and this realization disturbs them greatly. Their military strategy is to put fear into the hearts and minds of freedom-loving democracies by attacking its innocent men, women and children, crying foul if there is a strong response in self-defense. Thus, the West is made to believe that our enemy is essentially “crazy,” lashing out unexpectedly and even worse if provoked.

Until the Arab/Muslim world becomes absolutely convinced that America and Israel are indeed a lot “crazier” than they are, the intifada, terrorism, hijackings and suicide bombings will continue ad infinitum.
