Anti-Semitism And The UN (I)

I would be interested to know how UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, a native of South Korea, would respond if South Korea had pulled out 10,000 of its citizens from an area of land claimed by North Korea and if the North Korean regime then responded to such a painful, conciliatory gesture by firing thousands of missiles into South Korea, causing the evacuation of cities and exposing all of South Korea to rocket attacks.

As a further scenario, how would the UN head have treated the government of North Korea if it continued to call for the annihilation of South Korea?

By his recent actions, Ban Ki-moon has shown that he is well suited to head the always anti-Israel, often anti-Semitic UN.

Anti-Semitism And The UN (II)

One constant through the years of Arab-Israeli warfare has been the role played by the United Nations.

The primary problem with the UN is not that it is an out-of-control organization that has been hijacked by anti-Israel Third World nations (though of course it is very much that). The real problem is that the world itself is anti-Israel, save for the U.S. when presidents like George W. Bush make the country’s foreign policy.

The UN merely reflects the sentiments of the international community, and therefore will never really change as long as much of the world remains infected with anti-Semitism. In other words, not in the lifetime of anyone reading this, unfortunately.
