While there are, and always will be, students with less than stellar writing skills, this has absolutely nothing to do with their background. Some people are by nature more gifted than others. This does not make the less than stellar writer any less skilled in other subjects or less capable of facing the challenges of corporate America.

Will the professor associate students with less than stellar math skills or students who have issues with numbers or finding the U.S. on a map with the strictly Orthodox community, or is this a problem that affects students across all spectrums?

To the contrary, I find that most students who excel in their Talmudical studies do very well effectively writing what they’ve learned, while the students who have issues with their writing usually have additional issues with studying the complexities of the Talmud. And, yes, there will always be students who are highly skilled in one area yet severely lacking in other disciplines.

I wish Professor Goldman and The Jewish Press much continued success.
