To recognize our poor choices and turn toward those we have hurt is the best way to understand true teshuva.

Teshuva as a turning point is a step toward turning around and facing that teacher, friend or family member that you may have hurt, looking him or her in the eyes and saying, “I am sorry.”

Don’t miss an opportunity to comfort a friend like Simcha did. He or she may move far away and then you’ll have to write a letter instead of facing him or her and giving comfort.

May we feel our bodies, minds and souls turning toward Hashem this New Year.
