Unfortunately, Hamas tried to escalate the confrontation further by not only continuing but increasing the number of rocket and mortar attacks, reaching most of the major population centers in Israel. Now it has been confirmed that Qatar has been a participant, not only financial support for Hamas but also sheltering its leader.
Both Qatar and Turkey house Hamas leaders and supply funds to Hamas, and neither country can be considered an innocent bystander. They are not only enemies of Israel but of neighboring Arab states and the U.S. as well.

The Western democracies and the UN do not understand or do not want to understand that Israel may be the current battlefield but the war of terrorism will eventually be played out everywhere and in fact is already being played out in many countries.
Israel is waving the flag of freedom for mankind against Hamas and all terror groups.

The following is the text of a letter I sent to The New York Times:
“Your anti-Israel hypocrisy knows no bounds.
“Hamas operatives who fire thousands of rockets at Israeli civilians are neutrally called ‘militants’ by your paper, but when the violence touches one of your own (freelance reporter Jim Foley), your editorial of August 22 calls the perpetrators ‘terrorists’ and ‘fanatics.’
“I will now patiently wait for the day when you apply the terms ‘terrorists’ and ‘fanatics’ to Hamas.”
