Newsweek’s at it Again

JewishPress Logo

Newsweek’s at it again, following up on last week’s spy accusations against Israel, with new and even more outrageous allegations of Israel spying on the US, this time against then Vice President Al Gore, 16 years ago.

The story quotes anonymous Intelligence officials as their source.

Israel has demanded that US Intelligence officials either show evidence that any of these allegations have happened, or openly state there is no basis to Newsweek’s stories.

Some in Israel believe this is a sniper attack by senior US government officials who want to hurt Israel, and sabotage US-Israel ties, for the failure of the peace talks with the Palestinian Authority. Those talks, which were destined to fail from the start, eventually came crashing down when the Palestinian Authority reconciled with Hamas.
