When Israel discovered that Hamas regularly used hospitals as command centers for their terrorist activities, it had no choice but to act. When Israel knew for certain that hostages had been held in hospitals, tunnels built into and under them, we knew that our respect for what should be neutral places was not reciprocated in Gaza. And finally, when Israel found explosives, rockets and weapons in some hospitals, we knew we would find them in others.

Before this war, this horrible time with no time, Soroka Hospital in Beersheva regularly treated Gazan residents who were injured and sick. Gaza is a place with abundant hospitals, the better to hide weapons apparently. But lousy health care was offered in this places and so the minute it was something serious, the patients were quietly sent to Soroka. After all, in what world can you expect a nation treat its enemies with the most advanced medical system in the world? Do you think Germans were flown to US or British hospitals during World War II? Do you think cancer patients in the Ukraine fly to Russia for treatment?

Only Israel. Always Israel.

And so before this war, the sick and injured of Gaza were regularly treated in Beersheva, including the relatives of Hamas leaders. Even Yahya Sinwar was treated and saved by an Israeli hospital.

Israeli hospitals, by contrast, have no weapons stored under them, no tunnels built under them. Soroka is a place of peace where Jews, Christians and Muslims are treated. Where Israelis, Palestinians, Gazans, Bedouins, and Druze are cared for.

Today, a cursed nation bombed a blessed one. Iran fired more than 20 ballistic missiles at Israel…and this time, several hit. In places I won’t name, except one. One I will name, one I will show.

A hospital. A real hospital. A hospital dedicated to only one thing – healing people – any people, all people. And today, Iran bombed that hospital.

There is no excuse for what they did. There is no forgiveness, because none was asked and because none was deserved.

Iran is the epitome of all that is evil in this world – they oppress women, they oppress all those who are not like them. They are cruel and controlling. But most of all, they are filled with hatred and the need to bring that hatred to others.

From the darkness of Iran to the light of Soroka, Israel makes a promise. Today, we will clean the mess they caused with their rocket. Tomorrow, we will rebuild – bigger and better than what they destroyed. And while we rebuild, we will continue to destroy their evil.

We are strong and have already destroyed much of what they control. The leaders of the military have fallen…in some cases, their replacements have already fallen as well. They have no air defenses left, and still they attack. But we have a message for them from our bomb shelters, where we protect our people.

The King of Persia will fall. Long live Israel!

This is what Iran did to a hospital…this is what will be done to Iran…in pieces, they will find themselves. Scattered across the floor. But none will come to rebuild it, none will come to save it.
