Booby-trapped tunnel shaft uncovered by IDF combat engineers.

Israeli forces are continuing their operations against Gaza’s terrorist organizations, tracking down and dismantling weapons storage facilities and underground terrorist infrastructure.

The forces also targeted terror attack tunnels, as well as sniper, observation and anti-tank missile posts.

One such tunnel, hundreds of meters long, was uncovered and dismantled this week.

The tunnel had several exits, including some that were rigged with explosives, the IDF said.

During their efforts to uncover and demolish the tunnel, IDF soldiers spotted a group of terrorists emerging from one of the shafts directly in front of them. The troops killed the terror cell, the IDF said.

The troops have eliminated dozens of terrorists, dismantled terror infrastructure and expanded the security zone near the communities of the western Negev.

Over the past 24 hours, the Israeli Air Force also struck dozens of terror targets throughout Gaza. Among the targets struck were terrorists, military structures, observation and sniper posts that posed a threat to IDF troops in the area, tunnels, and additional terrorist infrastructure sites.
