The world is up in arms against Israel’s proposed policy to get harsher against Arab terrorists, of all ages, who attempt to murder Jews by throwing rocks, stones and boulders at them.

Netanyahu threatens to target young Palestinian stone-throwers

Israel is considering giving its security forces a freer hand to shoot at young Palestinian stone-throwers, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office said on Wednesday.

Under standing orders, Israeli soldiers facing violent Palestinian protests can open fire with live bullets only in life-threatening situations. That effectively bans firing at Palestinians who flee after hurling a rock or petrol bomb.
But after meeting with several cabinet ministers and security chiefs to discuss an increase in stone-throwing in Jerusalem and on a highway in the occupied West Bank, Netanyahu suggested the rules could be hardened.
“Since the justice system finds it difficult to deal with minors who throw rocks, changes to orders on opening fire towards stone- and petrol bomb-throwers will be examined,” the prime minister’s office said in a statement.
Netanyahu was quoted as saying at the session that his government’s policy was one of “zero tolerance towards stone-throwing and zero tolerance towards terror”. (Reuters)
The reality is that many Israelis of all ages have been murdered or seriously injured by such terror attacks.

In all honesty, I don’t really trust Prime Minister Netanyahu to make such a clear ruling. He’s more worried about the reactions of the world and the Israeli Left than he should be.

The Reuters headline tries to give the impression, to stress the youth of the Arab terrorists, as if they are playing an innocent game. First of all, these terror attacks are done of Arab terrorists of all ages, but it has been revealed that the terror leaders try to send the youth out davka because they are not punished by Israeli authorities as severly as adults are. In too many cases, they are just sent home and then become family and neighborhood heros. These young terrorists also quickly lose all fear of the IDF and Israeli Police, because they are treated as foolish youth rather than dangerous terrorists.

Don’t forget that terror attacks are still immoral, illegal terror attacks even if the terrorist is “under age.”
