Thus one of the most brazen lies in history, persistently repeated, has been accepted as a historical fact.

Here’s a thought: If a Palestinian state is really a “must,” why not establish it in Iraq? The U.S. will have to leave Iraq in one, two or ten years, depending on the presidential elections of 2008, 2012, etc. What will happen the day after American and allied troops leave? The Shi’ite majority will simply massacre the Sunni minority, for there are 15 million Shias who have been brutally oppressed by 5 million Sunnis. Shi’ite Iran will incorporate the Shias of Iraq and dominate the international oil market.

The best option for the world is to move the Arabs of Israel, whom fate decreed to be Sunnis, to Iraq and reunite them with their brothers and sisters there in a new Sunni state.

The world has a unique opportunity to solve three crises simultaneously by dividing Iraq into three countries and dividing its oil revenues among its three offspring – Sunnistan (they can even call it “Palestine” if they wish), Shiastan, and Kurdistan.

This idea was voiced by President Herbert Hoover, with the aim “that Iraq be Palestine … it would give a permanent solution to the problem of these unfortunate people.” Even earlier, Chaim Weizmann, who later became Israel’s first president, came to the Paris Peace Conference to discuss the transfer of the Arabs of Palestine to Iraq.

This relocation of the so-called Sunni Palestinians would spare Iraq’s Sunnis and Kurds untold suffering; rid Israel of the Damoclean sword hanging over its head; and, last but not least, eliminate a world war triggered by Iran, the prospect of which, contrary to our title, is anything but a joke.
