A grand total of 5 percent of respondents want to hear President Barack Obama talk about foreign policy, compared with 55 percent who want him to address the economy or the bloated deficit in his State of the Union address Tuesday, according to a Quinnipiac poll released Monday.

The poll shows that slightly more than half of the respondents believe the United States is in a recession.

Five percent of white respondents and 9 percent of Hispanics listed foreign policy as a priority issue, compared with only 2 percent of blacks.
