Foreign Ministry Announces Strike

Israel’s Foreign Ministry’s labor union has announced a general strike. As a result all Israeli embassies and consulates around the world, as well as the Foreign Ministry’s office in Israel will be closed.

    Why play into Abbas’s hands by striking? All these people lose is their wages.

    Remember this: The Union Boss still gets full pay. You get little to nothing, and you never will recover what you lost. An ex-Union man.

    I don't get it. How do goverment employees get to have a union and be able to strike? Where's the collective bargaining? That only works in the private sector where the money and concessions come from private corporate funds. For government workers the money, etc. since you are dealing with politicians comes from , you know who, the TAXPAYERS. When 10,000 flight controllers struck in the US, Reagan fired them and got new ones. If you aren't happy where you work, QUIT.
