In a new poll, run by “Arab World for Research & Development“, of 1200 Arabs living in Judea, Samaria and Gaza, 87.7% answered that Hamas’s “armed struggle” is the best means for achieving Palestinian independence.

The results of the recent Gaza conflict prove that armed struggle, as adopted by Hamas, is the best means of achieving Palestinian independence:
Strongly agree 55.6%
Agree 32.1%
Disagree 9.1%
Strongly disagree 1.2%
I don’t know 2.1%

89.7% believe they won the recent war with Gaza.

The confrontation and the resulting truce represent a victory for Palestinians:
Strongly agree 57.5%
Agree 32.2%
Disagree 8.5%
Strongly disagree 1.3%
I don’t know 0.5%

And of course over 75% really believe Israel lost the most from the fight.

In your opinion, who lost the most from the conflict in Gaza?
Palestinians in general 4.3%
Hamas 0.8%
The residents of Gaza 11.5%
Government of Egypt 0.3%
Government of Israel 75.8%
Fatah and the PA 2.1%
Everyone lost 1.8%
I don’t know 3.3%

With results like that, you can’t be surprised if the third Intifada were to break out tomorrow (or last Friday).

One Response to “Poll: Palestinians Overwhelmingly Want War with Israel”

  1. If the Palestinians want war, let's give it to them. I was livid when the Prime Minister acquiesce to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, really it was Obama, Clinton was just a spokesman. My biggest problem with Prime Minister Netanyahu, is his weakness not just in this case but overall. What should have been said was the operation will continue until each and every Hamas member is rooted out and destroyed. Too many innocent Israelis have been murdered not only by Hamas but Hezbollah, and every other lunatic fringe Arab terrorist group. I would also extend this issue to most of the Arab nations of the middle east who either directly instigate problems with Israel or fund the antagonizers. In addition, I was agitated when I heard American politicians, the U.N., and others, tell Israel to show restraint. Israel has shown more restraint than any other nation in the world. Don't tell Israel about restraint, tell the Arabs who have been conducting a relentless murder campaign against Israel since 1948. The worst thing you could do is stop an operation in the middle. Why, because it emboldens the enemy, they consider it a victory for them, and violence increases. Any Prime Minister of Israel must understand that their allegiance is not to anyone else except the people of Israel. In addition, it must be recognized that no matter what Israel does, they will be condemned, not because they did anything wrong. But, because of deep seeded Antisemitism. Regardless if others like it or not, Israel must do what is necessary to keep their nation safe and prosperous. It is widely understood that the only thing tyrants respond to is brute force. What do you think the world would look like today, if the British listened to Chamberlain, G-D only knows, but it wouldn't be pretty. I am sure there are those who disagree with me and that's fine. But, I contend that Israel has a superior military and special units, use it to wipe out this scum of the earth. I am sick and tired of reading almost on a daily basis more Israelis dying at the hands of the Arab vermin that surrounds them. It was clear that Israel had a well thought out course of action that was working against Hamas who was rapidly losing. When you have your foot on the throat of a viper you must finish the job or the viper will turn around and kill you.

    • Yes, read Samuel Katz's book, Battleround. Israel could have ended these problems years ago, but always folded to world opinion. It would have been better years ago. We all know that, at times, the best medicine hurts for a short time!

    • You are very brave in Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania, with your Nazi-like ranting for genocide. What you need to experience, apparently, is a huge P-9 Caterpillar pulling up to your home and crushing it beyond repai. If you are lucky, you'll be given five minutes to collect your valuables. You are clearly one of those Jews that a former Israeli general was thinking of when he said "American Jews are so bloodthirsty, they are ready to fight to the last Israeli."

    • Ron Kall says:

Jeff, your comment shows you are brainwashed. Arabs build illegal homes in Israel and then they are bulldozed sometimes and the world erupts in indignation! Israel plans to build homes in Israel and the world erupts with indignation. Clearly, the Jews could have ended this problem after the 67 war when they should have invited the rest of the arabs to leave! Or if they finished arafat off in Beirut, saved by the US again and the ridiculous Oslo accords that the stupid Jews agreed to allow arrafat to come to Gaza, Thanks US forIsrael not preempting in "73, worried about world opinion, or not inviting the rest of the arabs to leave after that war! The US is directly responsible for never letting Israel win decisively! Don't forget The US forced Israel out of the Sinai in 57! Greg is exactly right! More tanks and F-16s for the muslim brotherhood anyboy!!??

    • Charlie Hall says:

It is not for us in the diaspora to second guess Israel's PM and DM. If you want war so badly, make aliyah tomorrow and vote in the upcoming election — after enlisting in the IDF.

  3. I guess democracies do sometimes fight wars with each other.

  4. If the Palestinians want war Israel should give it to them, but Israel should no hold back in any way. The 65 years of war should be ending, and if Israel has to distroy Gaza and the Westbank so be it.

  5. I strongly support Lawrence's opinion.it is right and clear as truth itself.

  6. Francine Rico says:

The only problem is EVERY time Israel hands their behinds to them they ‘want peace’ in order to regroup and Israel falls for it EVERY TIME!! JUST DROP A DAMN BOMB N THESE MANIACS!!!

  7. An ideal Chief Rabbi for Israel is Rabbi Gilad Kariv. If the Israelis truly want Peace. And he will be Chief Rabbi in a couple of decades.

  8. In my opinion, everyone lost in the conflict in Gaza, and all of the other conflicts.
But in a full fledged war, instead of the brief skirmishes that we've been seeing in the last few decades, I think we're looking at results such as what happened in Berlin, Dresden, Hiroshima, Nagasaki, and Tokyo. Don't the Palestinians and other Arabs realize that's the only possible outcome of a flat out full fledged, no kid gloves, all out war with Israel?
Probably not. I hope they come to an awareness long before such steps become necessary. I just can't imagine why they cannot seem to even try to look into the future, which could be a bright and peaceful one for their descendants.
I suppose that dogma is the most blinding thing of all.

    • In 1948, 1956, 1967, and 1973, the Arabs had full fledged war with Israel. Each time they lost. That is why they turned to terrorism and limited skirmishes. The truce was negotiated at the behest of the U.S. because Israel was once again, about to clean their (Arab) clocks. Israel itself wishes for peace, and I agree. I do not, nor am i willing to fight to the last Israeli. As a child growing up in the 1970s and 1980s, my parent's and grandparent's sincere hope and my Jewish elders' sincere hope was that "the modern state of Israel" is once more a beacon of hope for the world and that the modern state of Israel would forever be an oasis of peace and refuge for their children and their children's children now and for all time. I believe in that hope and that vision. As a teacher, I want that hope and vision to endure. Israel can be a beacon of hope for the world, and as with all beacons of hope, someone is always trying to extinguish the light and plunge the world once again into darkness. We must not allow it; NEVER FORGET the Darkness of the Holocaust that came immediately before the modern state of Israel. Indeed, It was ben Gurion's reason for acting when he did.

  9. Henri Korn says:

The ultimate battle will happen whether we like it or not. No peace is possible because the world by and large supports The Islamic view of the situation in the Middle East and remember PETROL is of the essence.

  10. Cathy Sherman says:

Everyone is overlooking a few points. Look who conducted the survey. Polls are only as reliable as the polling organization and the accord it has with the people. Since Muslims in the PA areas live under fear of being accused of collaboration with Israel etc., and other charges, it's been shown they don't always answer polls honestly. Other polls have shown that over 40% of Arabs in the same areas would prefer Israeli sovereignty. It's also been reported that thousands of Palestinian Arabs have moved into what they believe will be Jewish areas if a new terror state is ever established legally, G-d forbid. So this most likely does not reflect true opinions.

  11. The level of intellectual dishonesty here is astouding. Even assuming the poll is accurate, and even disregarding the polls indicating that most Palestineans do not endorse Hamas's tactics, it is blatantly dishonest to translate "I believe armed struggle is the best means of achieving Palestinean independence" to mean "I want war." If they asked the question, "Would you prefer to achieve Palestinean independence through peaceful means or by war?", what do you think the answer would be?
Believing that Palestineans "overwhelmingly want war" makes it that much easier to send other people's children to war, doesn't it? Apparently the Israelis are not as willing to send their children to war as you are. The survey also reported that 84 percent are hopeful that the Gaza confrontation will be followed by tangible progress towards Palestinian independence. I guess that didn't fit into the narrative the Jewish Press wanted to advance.
