U.S. Army Soldiers participate in the Army's 250th Birthday Parade in Washington, D.C., June 14, 2025.

What should have been a day of unity turned ugly as leftists used the celebration of the U.S. Army’s 250th birthday to mock, jeer and protest. The so-called ‘No Kings’ rallies were ugly, divisive and in some cases included terrorist flags. On social media, Democrat politicians, including Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse, tweeted and posted images demonizing the United States military.

The AP, CNN and other media outlets continued making the leftist argument that it was a parade for President Trump’s birthday and that rather than a celebration of our service members and the many men who had stood for our country, it threatened the “apolitical nature of the military.” The Biden administration’s purge of conservatives from the military had of course done no such thing.

And so what might have been another point of unity instead devolved into taunts, jeers and hate aimed at America.
