On Monday May 11, 2015 at 5 PM, there will be the world’s largest Shofar blowing in history outside of the UJA-Federation Building at 130 East 59 Street to protest against the fact that The President of the UJA-Federation, Alisa Doctoroff is a Major Funder the New Israel Fund, a group that advocates a boycott against Israel. The New Israel Fund stands against Israel – and we must raise noise to say that we cannot be silent as the President of the UJA-Federation continues in this role.

The UJA-Federation has been twisted by its leadership to embrace and promote the following Boycott, Divestment & Sanction groups against Israel:

1) Partners For Progressive Israel calls for a boycott of SodaStream and Ahava Cosmetics and other Israeli Companies

2) The New Israel Fund (NIF) Finances Organizations that promote BDS against Israel. Five NIF grantees signed a letter to the Norwegian Government Pension Fund urging them to divest from Israel; Machsom Watch, Coalition of Women for Peace, Woman Against Violence, Social TV & Mossawa

3) B’Tselem produced the video shown at the infamous “Israel Apartheid Week” events held at universities and colleges worldwide. The chair of B’Tseleem’s board Oren Yiftachel has publicly called for “Effective Sanctions” against Israel. B’Tselem is a major grantee of the New Israel Fund.

Under the banner of stop funding those who stand against Israel, groups to gather will include Americans For A Safe Israel (AFSI), Americans For Peace and Tolerance, JCCWatch.org, Jewish Action Alliance, National Conference On Jewish Affairs, and the Zionist Organization Of America (ZOA). They will blow 101 shofars to protest this absolute horror of Jewish leaders supporting a boycott of Israel.
