Recipe for sea glass candy:

1 ¾ cup granulated sugar
½ cup corn syrup
½ cup water
A few drops of food coloring

Lightly spray a cookie sheet and set aside.

In a large pot or saucepan, combine the granulated sugar, corn syrup, and water.

Attach a candy thermometer to the side of the pan. This step is optional but recommended, as it can be difficult to tell when the candy has come to the correct temperature.

Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring to dissolve the sugar. Continue to boil until the mixture reaches 300° F. Add in the food coloring as the temperature nears 300, allowing it to mix itself in.

When it reaches 300° F, remove from heat and immediately pour onto your prepared cookie sheet. The mixture will spread out by itself. Be very careful, as it is very hot.

Let the candy sit until fully cooled and hardened. When ready, lay a piece of plastic wrap over the surface and gently tap it with a hammer to shatter the candy into pieces.
