At the joint meeting between Prime Minister Netanyahu, Naftali Bennett and Yair Lapid at the beginning of the week, Netanyahu threw down the gauntlet and told Bennett and Lapid to decide between themselves who will get the Finance Ministry and to give him an answer by Tuesday according to a report in Chadarei Chadarim.

Today Bennett announced that he would be the Minister of Finance, if they manage to form a government.

Reports say that Lapid would like to become the Foreign Minister, but Netanyahu promised to reserve that job for Avigdor Liberman.

If Netanyahu does give Lapid the Foreign Ministry, he’ll have to give Liberman the position of Defense Minister. But Lapid said during elections, that he wouldn’t join a government where Liberman is the Defense Minister.

Gidon Sa’ar announced today that he would like to continue on as Education Minister.
