El Al Airlines, the national airline of Israel

Israel’s national carrier is considering a new direct route between Tel Aviv and Orlando, Florida, which – if it gets the green light – would provide a major boost to Israeli tourism.

Orlando is a major entertainment capital for family tourism, due to the presence of Disney World, Sea World, LegoLand and Universal Studios, among other attractions.

El Al also announced a new direct route to begin this May from Tel Aviv to San Francisco, which will give some competition to United Airlines – the only other airline flying direct to the West Coast city.

El Al will also begin flying direct from Tel Aviv to Las Vegas this coming June. The airline will receive a grant from Israel’s Ministry of Tourism since it’s a new destination for Israeli tourists.
