Israel’s Totalitarian Left Never Sleeps

Plaut-101912

And so the Orwellian inversions continue. Under the campaign to defend the right of BGU radicals to indoctrinate students in anti-Israel ideology, pluralism and diversity are achieved by maintaining a department in which only far leftists may teach.

Academic freedom is achieved by suppressing the right to criticize anti-Israel extremists. The highest form of scholarly research is the promulgation of hate propaganda and anti-Zionist advocacy. Diversity of ideas is achieved by suppressing all non-leftist thought.

And the highest form of public responsibility and accountability is when taxpayers are coerced into paying for the inculcation of extremist ideas that the taxpayers themselves reject and abhor.

One Response to “Israel’s Totalitarian Left Never Sleeps”

  1. While Dr. Plaut modestly asks at least to admit a "second opinion", what really happens is that neo-Bolsheviks completely took power in the Israeli (and Western) universities.

Dr. Plaut's assumes as though "social studies" were a part of science so that various approaches to a problem are reasonably considered and tested. Yet "the social studies" has nothing to do with science – and everything to do with defining the loyalties, moral principles, and the goals of the life – the components of national identity.

In case of Israel, her national identity is defined by Judaism and Zionism, supported by the respective laws, and this is non-negotiable. This is not a topic of any "scientific consideration" by anybody; especially not by neo-Bolsheviks – self-appointed Commissars of science.

In a nation so small and so threatened like Israel, the default position for every citizen must be a full acceptance of the Declaration like this.

Otherwise a person must be stripped of the citizenship and thrown out of the country. It is moronic and suicidal that those Commissars are even freely walking not fearing for their life.

As Vladimir Kigel put it, "Religion is the opiate of the masses (Karl Marx). Communism is the opiate of the Jews".
