She had arranged accommodations for us in the building owned by the neighborhood shul, conveniently located just across the street from that bais tefillah. In addition, she had cooked and delivered an elaborate and absolutely delectable Friday night meal. Everything was beautifully presented, a feast for the eyes as well as the palate, culminating with a mouthwatering Kahlua cake for dessert.
And on Shabbos day, we joined the sister and her lovely family in their beautiful home for another magnificent seudas Shabbos that we will long remember.
Whether it was orchestrated far in advance, down to the last soup nut, or hastily thrown together just hours before the Shabbos queen descended, Hashem was most definitely, albeit behind the scenes, ensuring that our Shabbos experience was perfect in every way.
And, in both instances, our hearts were overflowing with love and profound gratitude for both Hakadosh Baruch Hu and his inimitable shlichim. Indeed “Mi k’amcha Yisrael!”
