Here’s 46-year-old Itzhak Bergel, the anti-Zionist, Neturei Karta member who is accused of spying for Iran, being led through the corridors of the Jerusalem District Court, August 7, 2013.

I don’t have anything whimsical, or even thoughtful to say about this man. I know we don’t share anything. Not even a faith in the same God.

I don’t think he deserves the title “Haredi.” He is an enemy of Haredim, too.

It’s time we realized this.

We learned this lesson from the great general, Joshua. It’s the “Halanu ata im l’tzareinu” (Are you for us or for our enemies) test.

Now when Joshua was near Jericho, he looked up and saw a man standing in front of him with a drawn sword in his hand. Joshua went up to him and asked, “Are you for us or for our enemies?” (Josh. 5:13)
