A British court found three Al Qaeda terrorists guilty on Thursday for planning what would have c been the worst-ever terror attack in Britain, featuring eight suicide bombers.

A trial that last for four and a half months concluded with a guilty verdict for the Birmingham-based group, whose ringleaders were Irfan Naseer, 31, Irfan Khalid, 27, and Ashik Ali, 27. They will be sentenced in April and May and could face terms of life in prison.

The London Telegraph reported that six other terrorists already have pleaded guilty.

Naseer, a pharmacy graduate, and Khalid traveled to Pakistan for terror training, and they produced a video pronouncing their martyrdom and to be shown after the attacks.

They told police they intended to attack sliders and “crowded places” in Birmingham with the intention of turning it into a “little war zone.”

“They also had the capability, capacity and determination to make it a reality, said British counterterrorist detective Adam Gough.

One of their grisly lots was to place poisoned hand cream on car door handles, and another idea was to run into a crowd of people with blades in the front of the vehicle.

They raised thousands of dollars but proved to be failures on the financial markets, having lost most of the money on bad currency trades.
