Want to be an IDF Officer? Then you should move to the town of Efrat in Gush Etzion.

Want to be an IDF Officer? Then you should move to the town of Efrat in Gush Etzion.

The IDF released statistics on Tuesday that showed that 22.2% of soldiers who enlist from the town of Efrat become officers and sign on for additional service “Keva”. That is the highest percentage in the country.

Want to make sure you’re going into a combat unit?

Forget Efrat. You’ll have a slight edge if you move to Beit El.

From the three areas that lead in the number of soldiers going into combat units, two of them are in Judea and Samaria.

The town with the highest percent of combat soldiers is Beit El, with 86% enlistment into combat units.

Number two was the Elichin regional area in the Sharon with 81%.

While Efrat trailed by a close national third, with 80.4% enlistment into combat units.

Number four is the Upper Galil area at 79%, followed again by the settlers of the Har Hebron region at 78.4%.

At the other end of the spectrum, the region with the lowest participation in combat units is Gush Dan at a mere 36%.
