An apparent explosion of a gas balloon in a Beit Hanina apartment in Jerusalem has left one person dead, and three injured.
Residents and Hatzalah rescue workers managed to evacuate the building.
This would be the third gas balloon explosion this year. In January, a Gilo explosion killed 3, and in February, an Akko explosion killed 5.
*In Israel, many apartments have individual gas tanks for cooking and heating. They’re colloquially called “gas balloons”.
