As a first responder with Hatzolah for over a decade and the founder of Chaverim of Queens, with over 100 volunteers, a small business owner, and a healthcare professional, Cyperstein has the vital tools, values, and experience necessary to lead the reviver efforts from the devastation of Covid.

Cyperstein has been working closely with seniors for years, arranging home health care services and medical supplies so elders can age in place, live longer, and with as much independence as possible.

Recently Cyperstein was approved by the New York State Department of Health to administer vaccines, and has administered a few hundred vaccines so far. During a time when public safety and safe streets are being neglected by too many of New York’s politicians, Cyperstein received the Detectives Endowment Association’s endorsement as a testament to him being the candidate that can bring security and safety to our city.

Cyperstein also led the fight to make sure that 3K programming and childcare services were offered to his district, while also pushing for NYC to open all schools for in person learning.

For these reasons, we endorse Avi Cyperstein for City Council District 29

Marko Kepi
Republican, Staten Island 50th Council District

Willowsbrook, Manor Heights, Todt Hill, (mostly central Staten Island)

A U.S. Marine, Marko Kepi is a proud American. He came to this country at a young age from socialist Albania in pursuit of the American dream. Growing up, his parents instilled in him the values of hard work, dedication, and deep faith in G-d.

Kepi, a lifelong Republican, has been involved in the Republican Party since his teen years and worked as an intern for Mayor Rudy Giuliani’s presidential campaign.

He is a proud product of New York City public school education. He graduated from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, majoring in political science. He earned his Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) from Wagner College. He gained a tremendous amount of experience from his time working for Senator Marty Golden in Brooklyn. During this time, Marko helped constituents resolve quality of life issues facing their community.

Marko demonstrated to us that he has the experience, drive, and willingness to get the job done. He understands the challenges impacting the lives of Americans who have to keep two or three jobs to support their family. He knows what it’s like having nothing and having to work hard to achieve something, because he is the living example of just that.
